On-Site Training
On‑site training is designed for companies that have the facilities and equipment available at their own location and prefer to keep their employees onsite for logistical or operational reasons. All on‑site training requires the company to provide the crane or equipment that will be used during thetraining and evaluations.

Off-Site Training

Questions
Find answers to common questions about on-site crane training and certification preparation.
Yes. Paradise Crane provides on-site crane certification preparation and operator training nationwide. We travel to your location and schedule training around your crew’s availability.
That’s our standard approach. We bring instructors, materials, and curriculum directly to your jobsite or facility, minimizing downtime and maximizing hands-on instruction.
OSHA requires anyone operating a crane in construction to hold a certification from an ANAB‑accredited certification body. OSHA defines a crane as any powered equipment capable of hoisting, lowering, and horizontally moving a suspended load.
Certain equipment types and work activities are exempt from this requirement. For a full list of exemptions, refer to OSHA1926.1400 – Scope.
For general industry operations—such as manufacturing—OSHA does not require accredited certification. In these environments, an OSHA‑compliant qualification is sufficient as long as the operator receives proper training and demonstrates competency.
We recommend scheduling four to six weeks in advance. This allows time to coordinate travel, prepare materials, and align with your crew’s availability. Paradise Crane can in some cases can accommodate classes book as late as 7 days in advance, as long as our teaching schedule allows it.
We provide certification preparation for NCCER and support training for crane operators, riggers, signalpersons, and lift directors. Paradise Crane also offers OSHA qualification classes, specialized safety training, including fall protection and confined space awareness.
Only a limited number of states require crane operators in construction to hold both an OSHA‑compliant, ANAB‑accredited certification and a state‑issued crane operator license. These include: New Mexico, Massachusetts, Connecticut, RhodeI sland, New Jersey, Washington, New York City (municipal requirement, not statewide)
Most other states rely solely on OSHA’s nationalcertification requirement and do not issue a separate state cranelicense
